Overview The purpose of the climate change art installation project was to create something that would shed light on causes, future effects, or solutions to climate change. This could be in the form of a video or animation, comic book, or model. My partner and I decided to make a model. After that, it became a matter of what kind of model we were going to make and how it would relate to climate change. We decided to make a model, for a car that would run on bio-diesel. Although it is already being used by some cars, this car we design would have an engine that can use this new fuel without being clogged by the algae oil.

Some research from the early stages of the project:
Content/Research Carbon Dioxide (CO2) - The most abundant greenhouse gas in the atmosphere. It is used by plants in photosynthesis. Algae - A simple, nonflowering, aquatic plant. When photosynthesis is completed, it leaves oil behind. This oil is used to make bio-diesel. Bio-diesel - Renewable, biodegradable fuel from vegetable oils, animal fats, or in our case, algae fats. Photosynthesis - The process by which green plants use sunlight to synthesize their food, from carbon dioxide and water. Carbon Footprint - Total emissions caused by an individual, event, organization, or product, expressed as carbon dioxide equivalent
Reflection This project was actually kind of difficult. Due to only having about 5 or 6 periods to work on this project, we had to rush to think of what we were going to create. We ended up barely having enough time to finish, and we had to make some final touches on the day of the presentation. There were a few aspects of the project that I think I did well on. The first would be decisiveness, or ability to settle on one idea. Instead of getting caught up in thinking of a killer idea, my partner and I settled on the best idea we could think of that day. Usually one should make their idea as unique as possible, but since we had very little time, this quick decision was necessary. Another thing I did well on was leadership. Although my partner and I did an equal amount of work, I feel like I led the way for each idea we came up with. Just like in any regular project based experience, there were also a few aspects that I could improve on next time. One is time management, since we had to put in final touches the day of the presentation. To improve this next time, I would need to focus much more during the actual production of the project. Another thing I need to improve on is work ethic. Due to a lot of work on dead week, I was not able to work as hard or as much on this project as I would have liked to.
