Design Step 5 did not consist of much, but it took some hard work. The main assignment was our design defense presentation, which I will explain further in its section. The rest of design step 5 consisted of my group and I doing tinkercad circuits, preparing a prototype of sounds, and tweaking our lab report.
Design Defense Presentation
The design defense presentation is a presentation meant to display why our product is great, and to compile our work from previous assignments to show our process of development. It includes pretty much every assignment we've worked on thus far, from the survey to the lab report experiments.
Tinkercad Ciruits
We continued our circuit tutorials on Tinkercad and learned more about what the program has to offer.
Website
We have begun to create a website to showcase and sell our product. It is currently a work in progress, but as of right now we have the shop and the home page up.
Reflection Design step 5 was the biggest challenge for the group yet. With everything on our plates and motivation at an all time low, it was difficult to work efficiently. Motivation seemed to be the worst problem here. For me personally, I had a hard time balancing this work with the rest of my busy life. Despite these drawbacks, we managed to retain the quality of our assignments, especially the Design Defense presentation. The biggest strength we had as a group during this stage was probably our communication. Although it was difficult to have all of us working on this at the same time, we managed to coordinate personal goals for eachother to ensure we were able to eventually finish. The biggest weakness, as I mentioned, was motivation. Overall, we didn't do great but we continue to push through, and our progress can only grow from here.
