Design step 3 had us focused on the testing of our product and making sure every aspect of it was viable before creating it. We are slowly but surely working our way up to the creation of our website and the recording of our actual sounds. Aside from the project, we were also introduced to onshape, a 3D modeling program which we have completed many tutorials for. Although it is a useful program, I don't see it being necessary to design our product as it will be 100% digital.
Life Cycle Document
The Life Cycle Assessment allows us to demonstrate our thought process for every aspect of the project. This includes raw materials, how we will distribute it, our process of development, waste, etc.
Life Cycle Infographic
The Life Cycle Info graphic consisted of taking each aspect of our life cycle assessment, condensing the information, and putting it on a diagram to give a basic showcase of each aspect being taken into consideration for the creation of this project.
Onshape Tutorials Step 1 and 2
Onshape is a free 3D modeling program which allows one to model a variety of different concepts in order to vizualize a final product. Although we can't use this a whole lot for our project, it is a useful skill to have to know how to use these types of programs.
Reflection Design Step 3 was a pretty quick and small portion of the project. It mostly involved working on our Life Cycle Assessment/Infographic. The rest were these pretty menial but entertaining onshape tutorials that taught us how to use the program. Although entertaining, I found myself enjoying them less since I had to cram them all in one day due to work from other classes, which is one thing I did not do well in for this step of the project. Something I did do well however, was the life cycle assessment. I believe I contributed a good amount to the document and had all my thoughts and ideas well represented on it.
